Here are some of my favorites......

Way to Save

My bank has this new amazing savings program. This is how it works:
EVERYTIME ---you swipe your debit card
pay an online bill
take out money from the ATM
transfer money between your accounts
money leaves your bank account

$1.00 is automatically transferred to your way to save account

Now this seems simple and it may even seem like it would not save that much money. But it actually saves ALOT of money with no real conscious effort on your part. I love the concept. So as of now I have already saved over $50 without even thinking about it. This is a great addition to my deliberate savings account that I am building. Everyone should have this. You basically pay yourself a $1.00 every time you spend money. It adds up very quickly.
Oh and another important side bar: The interest is 5%!!! This is really gggreat :)

Christmas Party

It went GREAT!! I had so much fun! The people were great and the food was literally amazing. I am beginning to realize that I love love love to entertain. I can barely wait to plan our house warming party. Listed below is the amazing menu:

“Ju-Ju Juice”- Pineapple Juice, Country Time Lemonade Mix, and Club Soda
Raspberry and Lime Sorbet Floats- Sorbet and Ginger ale (it has to be Canada Dry brand)
Rice Krispie Treats with Red/Green M&Ms
Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip
Veggie Meatloaf – My first time making this and it was REALLY good—literally non left..
Spicy Rotél Dip with Scoops Tortilla Chips
Chicken Fingers with Honey Mustard Sauce
Spinach Dip with Club crackers
Mini Cupcakes
Cheese Straws
Chocolate Chip Cookies

WOW!!! Now you all see why I say this party was soo much fun!! Lol!
The trick to having an amazing party no matter the event – Birthday, Anniversary, Christmas, etc.
- You must have a great mix of people
- You need to serve at least one thing that has chocolate in it
- The food that is cold needs to be cold and the hot food needs to remain so
- You should play at least one game that gets everyone to interact and laugh-This party the game was Taboo.

Thank you to everyone that stopped by and helped make our party so much fun. A special thank you to my sister Christina (melodic mantra)!!!

How Can I Reach You?

This exerpt from the "Good Samaritan" theme song basically sums up the answer..........

"My mouth is the Lord's mouth, without me how can his voice be heard? I will say what he would say speaking love and life each day... and everyone who’s near will hear his voice.

My hands are the Lord’s hands, without me how can his work be done? I will do what he would do helping others as I go, and everyone who’s near will feel his touch.

My feet are the Lord’s feet, without me how can he walk with the poor? I will go where he would go blessing others as I do, for him I'll walk where I never walked before.”

Dearly Loved

“The power of love is so strong that it compels you to share it”
-Nina Hassell

Dearly Loved -bY Jimmy Needham

(Please check out this song it's Beautiful!--FYI Just click on the word "Dearly"...Its a you tube link)

Today I was thinking about the love of GOD and how that love is being daily transferred to each of us. I also began to reflect that there is no greater love than the love that HE has for us. It made me think about this sermon that I heard one Sabbath. It was a message about the importance of personal ministry. The point that stood out to me the most is as follows... We should "allow others to see Jesus Christ". When I was younger I used to find the thought of being a role model annoying. I have a younger sister and brother and this concept has "plagued” my life and thoughts for quite some time. I have previously thought of it as an excuse people might think to use to divert blame for their behavior onto someone else. But now that I am older I clearly see the vital importance of the power of influence. You may truly be the only "Jesus" that your co-workers, family, friends actually see. We should all try to live our lives as if our light were the only one in our sphere of influence. The remaining question is... How can these words be translated into daily living?

Alright, how can I summarize how absolutely DELICOUS this recipe truly is... I have decided to list the top three reasons to make these TONIGHT…

1.) They make your whole house smell like a chocolate factory
2.) They literally melt in your mouth
3.) Oh and did I mention that they are completely stuffed with chocolate chips!!

TO summarize with one statement…They were pretty darn amazing!

I cut the recipe in half (it’s just George and I) and they turned out great. George likes them soft I like them crunchy so I compromised.. I made the first batch soft (to do this just spoon out a larger amount of dough and cut the bake time down to about 8-9 min). The second batch was crunchy (just bake them for the full 11-12 min). We ate them while we finished decorating our tree.—SAD!! I know...its only 9 days until Christmas.. But better late than never!! I have decided to name the tree Paisley.. Last year my sister and I lived together and I named our tree Margie..

*Side bar* You all will soon discover that I basically have a "nick name" for everything... Just as an example I have had a white jeep for 2 years now whose name is Snowflake—lol!!... *End of side bar*

Well I promise I will post a pic of Paisley tomorrow. WARNING.. It is a HUGE tree. Well I hope you all try out the recipe. I also have posted this really cool link that allows you to convert recipes very easily because I am a bit slow and I find it down right irritating to work math problems just to double , triple, or in this case cut in half a recipe.
