Forever Sunshine

You and I
Forever getting to know the One who knows
Exactly where we’re going
Attempting to trust Him through life’s demanding blows
But in my mind
Yes when I close my eyes
Through it all
We’re still basking in the sunshine
Sugar with the strongest of lemons
Water and ice
A toast as we drink our life’s lemonade
Trusting Him
Though
Clouds threaten our parade

And True
Even perfect days can end in rain
As you hold my hand I can feel you take on my pain
Truer still
I’m never alone
That’s why I still believe in sunshine
Through these rain clouds I see Him smile
Because he designed our forever sunshine

To be in this moment with you is His gift
